Trying to find the movements of my Gran and her brothers

My Gran Margaret Moore and her brothers Alexander and Joseph's parents died while they were young.
On my Gran's birth certificate it says her father Robert Moore died 28th Feb 1917 (I've never been able to find a death certificate anywhere) and her mother Margaret Ann Wray died 25 Sep 1921 in the Western Infirmary, Glasgow, Scotland. I'm trying to find out if there is any passenger records for after 1922 that I can search for her and her brothers. Her uncle Joseph signed as witness of her .mothers death when he was visiting from Ireland. I would dearly love to find out what happened to her and her brothers went to and also where the dickens her father Robert Moore's death certificate can be located.

Ship yard labourer I wonder which one though Glasgow presumably.  Have you checked in newspapers, maybe there was an accident or report of some kind that might mention him

The marriage was 1908 Ireland according to the birth cert.

Have you found Robert & Margaret Ann on the Scottish 1911 census

If not - is there any possibility that Robert died in Ireland and Margaret Ann then went to Glasgow?  I know we are looking at a very short timescale and Margaret was pregnant

Did your grandmother go to Ireland ?
Were her brothers older or younger ?

The parents Robert Moore & Margaret Wray married in 1908 and were from Donegal so it's possible the children were taken back there to stay with relatives (at least for a while). If that's the case there will be no records of them travelling between Scotland and Ireland.

If they did go to Ireland there might be local school records which would usually give name, age/birthdate, father's occupation, religion, residence (townland), school they came from/went to, date of leaving. However, these records will not be online.

Working back in time when is the earliest record after mother's death that you can find your grandmother?

Just a thought, maybe the date is wrong - commonwealth war graves have a R Moore in the 1st Batt. Highland Light Infantry who died on 11th Jan 1917 and a R Moore in the Durham Light Infantry who died on 14th Feb 1917

Could it be possible that 28th Feb was the date that they found out about the death maybe?


Or possibly had they incorrectly been told he had died
