Bryan Albert John RITCHIE
« on: Friday 21 April 17 10:39 BST (UK) »
Good Morning,
This seaman married Margaret Niblock in Belfast in 1919 (found on PRONI site) but did they have any children?

If anyone is able to assist - many thanks
Rob.

PRONI only allows you to search for births more than 100 years old ::)

So, you won't find anything there.

I think you both mean GRONI rather than PRONI  ???

GRONI shows the date of marriage as 21 Jan.1919

www.irishgenealogy.ie had the actual marriage certificate-
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1919/09662/5503771.pdf

His birth certificate lists name as Bryan Albert Ritchie-
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1891/02381/1888588.pdf

Since he was in the Royal Navy the couple could have lived anywhere depending on where he was stationed. May not be the same man but there is an English marriage for a Bryan A. Ritchie in 1931 in Portsmouth district. Also a death in Portsmouth district for a Bryan A. Ritchie in 1958 (age 66 which fits with above birth record). There is 1 birth for a possible child in 1936 but won't put the details here in case she's still alive. See www.freebmd.org.uk to see the indexes yourself
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

This matches information from a tree on An'''''' with a photo of Bryan A Ritchie

Apologies!
I get confused between GRONI and PRONI! :-[

Suffice to say, the website starts with geni.nidirect . . . .  ;D
