Reynolds -Desertlyn Parish
« on: Saturday 22 April 17 03:44 BST (UK) »
I am trying to track down the parish / village for my 3rd Great-Grandfather.  His name was James Reynolds, born in Ireland around 1799, married Elizabeth Campbell around 1825 and had a son Samuel born 1827 in Ireland.  They emigrated to Canada around 1830 and had a daughter Ann 1832 (my 2nd great-grandmother) and a son James in 1836.

I've done some research that shows Reynolds families in Ballymully and Carrandarragh townlands in the Desertlyn parish in the 1831 census with first names James and Samuel. They were Church of Ireland.

Does anyone have any information about these families that would help determine if they might be the fit for my family in Canada?

Thanks for any help.

Linda from Canada
