I have not used the above for a while, i now find that the search date data is now restricted to one year at a time ?, previously i seem to recall researching by yearly periods, .ie. 1945 -- 1948, is this still possible or am i restricted to year by year ?      bodger

FreeBMD.org.uk does not restrict the years to search?

The GRO Free Index Seach is slightly more restrictive, but can still choose to search +/- 2 years.

I only find restrictions on date range when I'm on the ipad...otherwise I haven't noticed any change.

I can still see a "year ending" box when I search. Sometimes (e.g. on a smaller screen) it moves down to the line below...

No problems on my desktop computer, or my Kindle.

clairec666, you solved it, because of eye sight problems i had enlarged my fonts and i think this had moved the box down to the beginning of the next line. Old age getting at me , thank you to all, bodger
