Death of Hedwig K. Boyd
« on: Saturday 22 April 17 20:09 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the death of Hedwig [Kopitzach, Kopitizach, Kopitzsch, etc.] Boyd.  She was born 18 October 1881 in Neustadt-Orla, Thuringia, Germany.  She married Charles Templeton Boyd [an American] in London in 1908.  Charles T. Boyd was an importer of gloves, socks and underwear.  He and Hedwig made numerous trips back and forth from NY to Germany and he reportedly died in Germany in 1933  [though I have no evidence to support this].   By virtue of her marriage, Hedwig was a naturalized US citizen.  She arrived in NY from Hamburg on the SS President Harding on 23 April 1936 and was recorded as a widow, aged 54, at that time.  She was going to her home in Plainfield, New Jersey.  That is the last record I have found and I don't know whether she remained in the United States or returned to Germany.

Thanks again.  Is there any report of the death of Charles T. Boyd?  He had also been a New Jersey resident since about 1920 [when he wasn't traveling].
