Solomon Howe was born in 1826 in Derbyshire. He died in Kimberley, South Africa, possibly after serving in the Kaffir Wars. Any information appreciated.
Thank you.

Baptism:
30 July 1826 at Mellor, Derbyshire
Solomon Howe, son of John & Mary Howe

But also 6th April 1856 at Mellor to similarly named parents?

I suspect that 6th April is the birth date?

Solomon died 19-May 1885 Knight Street, De Beers, S. Africa.
He could possibly have been a Chelsea Pensioner.
He had 7 children in S. Africa when he died.
He was the uncle of the other Solomon Howe baptised 06-April  1856, who died when an infant.
I don't think I can possibly find any more information.
Thanks for your reply, appreciated.
