This day of talks will be of interest to those whose ancestors were British Romany Gypsies, Travellers and Fairground people or who have an interest in the history and culture of these people.

The speakers are Ted Rudge who is very knowledgeable about the Black Patch,  Alex Cox from FindMyPast who will help us to understand how we can use historic newspapers in our research and the writer, producer and director, Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, Locke, Taboo, etc.). Steven is a master story-teller and will be talking about his childhood days with his father ‘the travelling blacksmith’.

10:30-4pm at the Trinity Centre in Sutton Coldfield.
