of him we have no information  except he died 1938  in a  ming accident in broken hill,   did not appear to have any family at  all and o history

Hi,

A John Baptist had his toes crushed in a mine at Broken Hill in 1919.

Unless the informant for John's death certificate had good information the 35 years in Australia could have been an educated guess likewise with his age.

He may have travelled out as Jean Baptiste and the Jean then became John.
