burial at St.Martin in the Fields

Hi

Does anybody know where the burials were taken to?
I thought i read somewhere that they were taken to London City Cemetery in Ilford.

What are you trying to establish?

You may not find answers though, if it's reburials the answer may simply be the remains weren't moved, new buildings were put on top.

If it's information about burials after 1853, then these would have taken place later at Westminster's cemetery at Hanwell.

I read some time ago that remains from the crypt were moved.

The crypt was emptied in 1938 and the remains re-interred at Brookwood.

Some parts of the churchyard are now under the Ntional Gallery, Charing Cross Road and Drury Lane.
