Note  - Familysearch has him as aged 5 in 1881  but other sites have him as aged 8, which fits with the birth date that I've linked to.

Added - or FS has a different one - as you say McLeod and Roderick were pretty common in that area (and still is!).

The most likely Roderick in 1881 and living in Back has parents as Kenneth and Margaret
