Margaret YATES---Who is she???

She married Clifford HAMPSON in Glossop in1957.
Clifford died in Devon in 1975.
I cannot find her maiden name or D.O.B., but somewhere around 1930
I don't know if they had any children.

Rootschat has a no living persons policy and as this person may still be alive her details should not be published here.  They possibly had a child in Derbyshire but again - details cannot be given here

Clifford was born 1930 so was only 45 when he died.  Have you checked for a re-marriage for his widow?

Strange - only one Clifford Hampson death in 1975 - September Exeter

However - there is a will for a Clifford Hampson of Wellington Somerset who died April 1975

Thought, perhaps, that she had been married before marrying Clifford

You would have to buy a copy of the 1957 marriage cert to establish that.

Just for information, from the free 1939 census, there is this entry - I always forget which order the maiden name/married names appear, and it is for a Mary M not Margaret:
   Mary M   Yates (Hampson, Booth) born 1934 living in Leigh Lancashire.  Fred Booth (1899) and Leonard Shorellow, plus others also in the household.

But if she is still alive will not show in 1939, so not a very good indicator.

No, scrub her.   Mary M Booth became Mary M Hampson in 1953 then Mary M Yates in 1973, probably.
