Local History (photos)

My Local Libary has a Archive department
I asked them if they wanted some photos taken in "1920s" of places of interest  my mum as a child is on some with companions who I don't know who they are.
The Libary was very happy to accept the photos, they were then scanned and I was given my originals back.
Mum is now in a time capsule 😊😀

My Grandfather loved to make short 'films' of family outings , holidays, or anything local to Preston in Lancashire where they lived - Preston Guild and some of the football matches that Sr Tom Finney appeared in.

Most of his collection was given to the North West Film Archive, the football clips are housed at the National Football museum at Preston North End.

It's nice to think other people may get some enjoyment from seeing these films.
