Baptism 1602 Constantine
« on: Tuesday 25 April 17 21:02 BST (UK) »
This image is clipped from FamilySearch, Cornwall, Constantine, BMB 1562-1709 - page 14 of 114 (near bottom  of right-hand page).  As best I can read it:

John the sonn of Elys Treseder and Margrett (?)
(?) was christened the (?) daye of June

Can anyone read the words between "Margrett" and "was christened"?

I think the 1st word on the second line of the entry (before was christened) is Wiffe -- compare the shape of the 1st word in the top line of the extract?

If so, there's a good chance the last word of the 1st line of the entry is his, starting with a looped h.

I'm less sure about Margrett, but maybe you already know that's correct.
Looking at the full page on FS, I think you're right.

Many thanks for your reply.  I thought it ought to be "his wife", but just couldn't make out the writing.
