THOMAS STANDEN BORN CIRCA 1855 BRIGHTON ENGLAND

I am of the belief that Thomas Latter Owen Standen or variations of  born Brighton England 1855 of Owen and Mary emigrated to Australia after 1903 ish, I found him on 1901 living as a single man and after that no more sightings in England

Any help much appreciated

I am almost positive he went to Australia but so far can't find any ships logs, although I have an Ancestry  subscription  unfortunately I don't have Ancestry worldwide subscription to hunt for him further

Can you clarify his name please. Is the surname STANDEN and the other two after Thomas both his given names.
OR are they other surnames he used?


What was his mother's maiden name please?

The Thomas Standen who lived in Kilkivan in 1914 was first registered to vote there in January 1898 per the electoral rolls.

The !913 Commonwealth Electoral Roll for the Division of Wide Bay, Sub-Division of Kilkivan has.
Thomas Standen, residing at Warrandilla, Cinnabar, as a timbergetter and also at the same residence is Thomas Fricke Standen, a labourer.

Thomas Standen died 1943
Thomas Fiske Standen died 1944.

Is that right Gerry?  The 1912 and 1914 electoral rolls have Thomas Fricke Standen, timbergetter with Augusta Standen at Cinnabar, and Thomas Standen, labourer, at Kinbombi Creek, Kilkivan.

I have found his baptism but although he is registered at  birth it isn't showing on the GRO index

His father was Owen and mother Mary Standen

Mary aged 32

I will double check this later today, Owen was a young father if he fathered Catherine aged 10
