Gosh Dafydd46 - what a beautiful transformation!

They were my gt.grandfather's nephews and when their parents both died within weeks of each other in 1885 they were very young boys and were homed in their local children's orphanage.  Records showed that their stay was relatively short and they were given a home by kin who lived in a different town.  Their father had been a musician and I think it was most touching that they still had their father's violin in their possession which is still in the family to this day.

I'm much obliged.  Tank you very much.

Doesn't get any better than the previous posts. Just adding some color to the mix. This was a cool picture. Damage looked worse than it was.

Aw, many thanks japeflakes; Carol and jloy324.

How lovely of you all.  I'm being overwhelmed by your beautiful work

Until the image was cleaned up I hadn't noticed the difference in clothing.  It looks like one brother possibly had to walk along muddy lanes holding up his beloved dog to keep it clean, otherwise he'd have had an even bigger problem.
