Henry Gray born around 1900 Berwick upon tweed

Help required for any relevant information married my grandmother Sarah E Wilson 1920 they had a daughter 1921. They split up shortly after. I believe he died 1964 age 64 years on ancestry said he died in Northumberland. Any help will be appreciated.

Do you have a copy of their 1920 marriage cert showing his fathers name and occupation?

Providing he did not have a middle name there are 2 Henry Gray births in Northumberland - one in Dec 1899 and the other Dec 1900.

However - that assumes he was born in Northumberland and not elsewhere

The 1920 marriage was in the Berwick Reg District - no middle name shown for Henry

A Henry Gray b 9.11.1900 died 1977 in Newcastle whereas the 1964 death was Henry J Gray

Thank you for replying, I do not have a marriage certificate however at the daughters birth there was a Mary J Gray present so could possibly be Henry's mother. The 1964 death seems to be the one.

How do you know the 1964 death is the right one?  Married as Henry - died as Henry J

Are you basing his birth year on that death entry or on other info?

Do you know with any certainty that he was born in Northumberland?

Buying the 1920 marriage cert would seem to be your best bet or looking for him on the 1939 register to get his birthdate

Have traced his grand daughter and she confirms that he died 1964, buying the marriage certificate may well give me more information.
