William Henry HEARN death record required
« on: Thursday 27 April 17 20:56 BST (UK) »
Please can anyone help me in finding the death record of William Henry HEARN?

I don't know his date of birth apart from he would have been born either December 1899 or January 1900, he was baptised on the 28th January in Leytonstone, Essex but it doesn't give a date of birth.

If anyone can find an index record of his death that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

DJS

Hi yes I know he was living after 1952, I did a check on free bmd but found no results so I know he would have died after 1975

Two possibles

1986 Greenwich Register 586 no  June qtr vol 12 page 997. Birth date out by a few months, but not unusual in death records.

1992 Crawley, Register no 592 June qtr vol 18 page 1638, again death slightly out.

Hi I never thought of the 1939 register.... from 1950 to 1952 he was travelling to and from southern Rhodesia with my grandads cousin Nellie (they weren't married). I'm assuming in 1939 he was living in Romford or round about the essex/London area

Yes, I see from another thread that you have him travelling to settle in Southern Rhodesia in 1950:

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=726716.msg6230407#msg6230407

The passenger list for the Carnarvon Castle departing Southampton 15 June 1950 shows W Hearn aged 49 (secretary) and Mrs N Donahue aged 28 (secretary) travelling to Cape Town, last UK address 9 Park Rd, Chelmsford.

Is this definitely the man born in Leytonstone?

Yes because I've checked the electoral roll of where he was living and in 1949 it showed him living with his sister, brother-in-law and niece. When I did the census of him and his sister I found them in Leytonstone so it all ties together
