The full record for the marriage is online you just have to trawl a bit further down on Jomots link to "marriages (another filming) 1874 - 1878".  They like to keep us on our toes.  It is image number 668.

Richard Smith, 20 Bachelor, Pavior, Wood Street, Father John Smith Pavior
Mary Smith, 18, Spinster, Wood Street, Father Thomas Smith Pavior
Both made their mark
Witnesses: James Bushell Taylor and Mary Taylor (made her mark)

Mo

Thank you,  it took a while  to find the basic one, but I  can`t find the one with the witnesses.
How do I  get to that ?

Try this link:

https://familysearch.org/search/film/007568445?cat=122430

Enter 668 into the image  box and click enter.  Then click on the icon directly under the + and - on the left hand side.

Thanks, I managed to locate it, but when I try it from scratch I can`t work out how to do it. I only get the one I posted.

I didn`t even know about these images  and less about finding them. Where do I start searching.
Can you help please.

The new record images on Family Search are image only records there is no search. You can see what's available by doing the following:-

1. Go to Family Search https://familysearch.org/
2. Click on the Search heading
3. Within the Search options click on Catalog
4. Enter a place such as Liverpool
5. England, Lancashire, Liverpool should come up as an option click on that
6. Click Search.
7. You should now have a long list of resources

Many of these collections will not have images that can be viewed at home. You need to explore them by clicking on each title and looking for camera icons indicating that images are available. Click on each camera icon and wait to see if the image will appear. Some records you need to be signed in to view. Some records are only viewable at LDS centres. Some images are unavailable for other reasons.

There are Liverpool church records, cemetery records, directories, Workhouse records and lots more. I have provided links to the Liverpool records I have found on the Liverpool & South West Lancs FHS website:-

Oh dear, I`m not getting anywhere. Followed your instructions but am stumped as to where to go next.

I`m obviously missing something.

It's a more manual approach. It's like using microfilm you have to go through a set of images to find what you are looking for. You don't have to go page by page though you can change the page number and click return/enter and leap pages ahead. You can also minimise the view of the images so that you have a lot of tiny images and then select an image and maximise to view it. It's best to use these images with other information giving you an idea of a date and location of the event as it can be time consuming.

Are you using the "another filming" records? They are the St Peter ones that can be viewed:-
