There's one in Northamptonshire 1891

Jane Ward head 47 married
George Ward son 20
Jos Edward Ward son 16 born South Bank Middlesboro
Harriet Ward daughter 10

Mothers maiden name appears to be Harris.

I see one of his children is John Harris Ward so that ties in.

Jane and Harriet I think stick together but not found a husband for Jane yet.

Birthplace for both Newborough Northamptonshire.

In 1901 Jane is down as widowed and there is another son William age 32.

Children born in all different places so maybe husbands occupation took them out and about.

Many thanks for replies I have been looking through my old notes (not looked at J.E.Edwards for a long time but yes I have found Jane & family including J.E Ward and threy were in Union workhouse Peterborough St John the Baptist.RG11/1596 F 131 P 4 then in 1891 they lived Crown Road Newborough Northamptonshire and J.E.Ward was a farm labourer.RG12/1232 F 64 P10.in 1901 Jane was a widow still at Crown Rd.Rg13/1467 F 1467 F 73 P21.
I have not sent for Janes marriage cert yet so I think that is the only way to solve this .But where was Janes husband in 1881 & 91?.
Thanks for your help.

I wonder about Joseph William Ward coachman - can't seem to find a marriage for him to Jane nee Harris or when he died.

He must have been alive around 1880 as daughter Harriet born then.

There's a death in London City Mar 1884 for a Joseph William Ward aged 37  :-\
