Matthew Golden, born 1909 is dead by 1911 census.

Although his parents still listed him on the 1911,and he had to be crossed out-bless him!

I always find it so sad when they have done that.  He died Sep qtr 1910 Sculcoates aged 1.

I would say that the Marriage Certificate is a must.

I see that Irene died as Irene Joan Golden in the Torbay area of Devon in 2006 - birthdate 07.01.1922.

Electoral rolls suggest she was still with Matthew in Paignton in her latter years - did he outlive her?

Free 1939 Register search shows only one Matthew Golden bc.1893 who died 1966 in Hull.

It's possible since they married the year after WW2 ended that he might have come here as a soldier from overseas and decided to stay here.

Definitely no births in England, Wales, Scotland or Ireland.
