William Miles son of Thomas and Mary Miles (nee White)

I'm trying to confirm that William Miles born 1817 in Bedfordshire was the son of Thomas Miles, born 1794 and Mary White born 1795. Later William lived in Kettering Northants and had lots of children

A superficial search would suggest that he is the William Miles baptised at Tempsford 7th April 1816, son of John Miles and Frances.

If he married after Jul 1st 1837 his father's name will be on the marriage record.

And an equally superficial glance at the 1861 shows that the William Miles age 48 living in Kettering gives his birthplace as Tempsford

William's marriage on FindMyPast:

William Miles, son of John Miles married Lucy Bowles, dau. of Samuel Bowles on 17/2/1843 Little Barford, Bedfordshire.

As others have said, census states William was born in Tempsford and he was indeed the son of John Miles and Frances (various trees for this family on ancestry).

As per Beds FHS Surnames Index CD;

Thomas Miles, bachelor married at Little Staughton, Beds in 1817
Mary White, spinster married at Little Staughton in 1817

While William Miles was baptised Tempsford in 1816

** John Miles married Frances Ibbot on 14 Oct 1799 at Tempsford

Many thanks for your help. So William isn't the son of Thomas and Mary Miles. These are my 3x grt grandparents. William and a load of other Miles' lived in Kettering and now I am wondering if there is still a link between Thomas Miles and John Miles (Williams' Father)
