After a round-about search today, I believe the following to be the scenario:

An Elmer L. Webb was living in Spokane, WA in 1958.  Spouse was May Webb.  I didn't see her name after about 1960 and I don't believe I saw her name connected with his (city directory) prior to 1956.

An Elmer L. Webb was living in Spokane and his spouse, Elsie M. Webb, were shown in directories until the late 1940s.

An E.L. Webb married a Mae Morgan in 1955 in Idaho
An Elmer L Webb and May Morgan are shown in Spokane Directories, from the mid-1950s to 1960.
Mae Webb, born c1884, died 1959, Spokane

Could this be your May and if so, was she married twice (the first time c1905).
