Gerard Ramsay - Birth
« on: Wednesday 03 May 17 07:38 BST (UK) »
Trying to find birth and parents of Gerard Ramsay.

The only information that I have is a marriage to Elizabeth Hudspeth in May 1666 at Little Wittington.

They had the following children - Ralph 1667, William 1674, Elizabeth 1677 and Mabel 1679.

Gerard died March 1716 at Little Wittington.

Thank you for the reply.  I have sent a e mail to St. Andrews asking for any information on the family.

I will look into Jarrad.  So thank you again for your help.

As a regular researcher at Northumberland archives I would agree with rosie - 1650 is about as far back as you are likely to get in any parish in the county.  Many haven't even survived as far back as that.

You may have to look upon Gerrard as being the earliest traceable ancestor in that line unless you can find estate records for his employment or possibly militia lists etc.
