BALL - MARRIOTT marriage: South Normanton 1869

In the Derbyshire Registrars Marriage Index Transcriptions appearing on FindMyPast, there is an entry for the marriage of John BALL to Ann MARRIOTT at St Michael's Church, South Normanton in 1869 (Ref: PC50/01/281 393) I understand the actual date was October 11th 1869.

I believe that John was the son of Levi Ball and Maria Haywood. Could anyone tell me who Ann's father was and his profession?

Sorry cant help with Marriage but I think you have the wrong Parents for John;

JOHN Ball
Christening: 31 March 1850, South Normanton, Derbyshire
Death: 23 July 1860******      
Father: Levi Ball
Mother: Maria Ball

I think his Parents are Peter/Ann.
1871 Census a William/Sarah Marriott are living near John/Ann Ball
(ignore this wrong Family!)

Mary Ann Hind's parents were Thomas Hind and Elizabeth Wright who married 4 Mar 1806 at Kirkby in Ashfield in Nottingham.  The entry states he was from South Normanton.

Thomas Hind was buried 29 Aug 1864 at South Normanton aged 79

I received a copy of the marriage certificate this morning from the G.R.O. Findings:

Marriage on October 11th 1869 at Parish Church of South Normanton between:

John Ball (20) Collier and Ann Marriott (20)

Father of John:  LEVI BALL, Collier;  Father of Ann: William Marriott
Witnesses: Thomas Gent; Mary Marriott

Excuse me whilst I revamp my tree!
