Looking for Thomas Fredrick Jackson
« on: Thursday 04 May 17 03:31 BST (UK) »
I have posted a related post concerning Thomas at http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=770880.msg6236257#msg6236257

Thomas was a son of Robert Jackson and his second wife Eliza Benn.  He was born Jan 1849 Roscrea, Co Tipperary, Ireland.

In 1878 in Brooklyn, NY Thomas & Mary Holmes [also Irish] married she being born 1850 a daughter of John Holmes and Ann Pratt of Rallacolla, Ireland.

I am unable to locate Thomas and Mary after their marriage and hoping for some assistance.

After Mary died in 1913 I think he got remarried to an Marie???
The 1910 census list him as an electrical contractor.

I believe this to him and his 2nd wife Marie. He is listed as an electrical contractor.

1920 census: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MJTM-41L

1940: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KQSJ-XQF

His obit in 1926 states he is married and owned an electrical contracting  firm.

Hello again RJ,

I searched for Thomas entry into the USA given the census records as his entry in 1865.  I looked at http://libertyellisfoundation.org/passenger however none of those records listed the 1800s and all 1900s.

Is there a better site to search or are there some issue with my search criteria?

The Ellis Island site only covers records from 1892-1924.  You can find earlier passenger lists to New York at www.familysearch.org and http://castlegarden.org/ .
