Josey

It is the only 1 I could find, and ties in with parents' names and parish.
Some of the trees on Ancestry relating to this are hilarious.

Oh so certainly looks like Dagenham was their area - good finds.

I too don't take ancestry trees too seriously!!

Has anyone come up with Ellen in the 1841 and 1851 census?

Thank you all for your replies.

Could someone answer one more question, josey states that Ellen Cornell born 1843 parents were Thomas Cornell and Mary Overall, but then olleym states that Thomas Cornwell married Ann Gardner, is the implication that Thomas married Ann then married Mary or are these two different Thomas's also was Ann related to Daniel's wife Maria both Gardner's.

There is more than one question there.

I must look at the trees on Ancestry.

I can't answer your question because I have not followed those  comments up. Looking a the trees on Ancestry, The COOK tree looks as if it may be worth following up, but you would need to verify everything yourself, don't rely on the trees on Ancestry.

I would agree entirely with Jebber
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/person/tree/64940087/person/290015774411/facts This tree will answer all of your queries Buzz.
Looking up trees on Ellen will only confuse matters; one has at least 7 alternative births and none of then cite sources other than other trees on Ancestry.
The Thomas Cornell and Mary Overall references as Ellen's parents are incorrect.

Just to say - I didn't state that as fact - I quoted an ancestry tree 'for what it's worth'  :-\; certainly no research on my part.
