« on: Thursday 04 May 17 11:33 BST (UK) »
The burial register for Bloxham (transcript courtesy of Oxfordshire FHS) records the burial of William PRIEST in October 1845 with the comment 'shot', Adderbury.
Anybody any idea how? why? by whom?

The Oxford Chronicle and Reading Gazette reports that it was an accidental shooting by one of the 'lads of Adderbury', one Henry Flint, messing around with a pistol 'in anticipation of the celebration of the Gunpowder Plot'.
