Galvanizing Manufacturers in the Lye Area
« on: Thursday 04 May 17 18:27 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know if it's possible to find out where exactly a person worked? My 2nd great grandfather was a galvanizer bucket maker and my great grandfather was a bucket maker before becoming a stoker with the Royal Navy. I was hoping to be able to figure out which manufacturer they may have worked for. Is this even possible? I know there's the Kelly's Directory but it hasn't helped me in this.

Thanks.

Hi
A few newspaper mentions of galvanised manufacturers in Worcestershire but this one caught my eye
Worcester Journal 1883
"Messrs T. Rhodes and Sons, galvanised bucket makers of the Lye near Stourbridge"
Cathy
Sinnock/Sinnicks...Brighton,Greenwich.
