Dear forum members, I am trying to locate the grave of Frederick and Martha Dale who married in 1879 and originally resided at Frith Farm, Wrenbury, and who lost three sons in the Great War. They eventually moved to "The Cedars" in Bunbury where they lived until their deaths in 1937 and 1943. I suppose the obvious choice would be St. Boniface cemetery in the village, but any help would be gratefully received. Thanks very much, Mark.

1937 death for Martha was registered in Nantwich but Frederick's in 1943 was registered in Crewe

Bunbury came under Crewe

Hi, Potty5, I note from Carole W's post that Martha's death was registered in Nantwich. Bunbury was part of this registration district. As freebmd shows she died in the first quarter of 1937, so sometime in Jan, Feb or March of that year.  Nantwich was indeed a registration district at this time. However on 1st April 1937 Nantwich became part of the Crewe registration district. When Frederick died he could still have been residing in Bunbury, but the registration would show as Crewe.
Hope this helps

Thank you for that Cath. It is looking like they are buried in Bunbury so I am going to the cemetery to search next Saturday. Thanks again.

You may have a big job - the graveyard looks quite extensive - googlemaps satellite view.  It might be an idea to try to contact the church before you venture out.  ;)

Hi, Potty5. I have looked in the St Boniface graveyard for my ancestors. It is quite extensive. However the dates you are looking for are much more recent to those I was looking for and hopefully if there are any headstones they are much more legible and easier to find. I do think it is worth you following the Link I gave you and asking the vicar if they can help. An offer of a small donation to the church might help!!! They dont expect mega bucks.
Good luck
