The PDF I want to crop is from Irish Civil Registrations, I want to save the record I am interested in,which is half way down the page and the page title onto one page.  I searched for info on here and have discovered the very helpful cropping tool (thanks) I have used it successfully to crop the sections I want and have saved but have ended up with 2 jpeg files. I can't figure out how to save both onto the same page.

Help please- I am not very tech savvy so need easy instructions...

Thanks

If you download a program called PDF Architect 5 it has a Snapshot feature where you can high light any part of a pdf and this saves to clipboard
These can then be used in the create part of the program to fit the two together from the clipboard one at a time

Easier to do, than explain how to do it..... just post the 2 images

sorry for my tardiness in acknowledging the replies, something unexpected came up.

- Dying Out, I will try the PDF Architect 5 Thank You for that suggestion.

-Carol, thank you for the suggestion of a word doc- that may work but I need the result to be a jpeg to attach to my tree which won't let me attach word docs. I suppose I could use the snip tool on the word doc and then save as a jpeg.

-Hallmark, thank you for your very kind offer. I need to figure it out for myself I have about a hundred that I want to do!! Thanks anyway.

Do you know how to use Paint?

You need to Open 2 pics using Paint.... Right click Photos and choose Open with Paint.

Then use snipping tool on Pic2... select what you need and then go Cut

go to Pic1 and go Paste, and it will Paste what you cut from Pic2 BUT you will have to first enlarge the area on Pic1 to accommodate the section being Pasted using what I've circled, then Paste.

It will go on top of the Pic1 so you need to use Mouse and drag it down below what is there... the white area needs to be big enough to accommodate both...

It sounds complicated but it's not (with a little practice!)

You can then go Save As.. name it and you still have pic1 and 2

Thank you Hallmark. Lovely clear instructions. I have not used paint but I will give it a go.  I tried Architect 5 it said free so I downloaded it but when I tried to use it it looked for money so I uninstalled it. I tried Carols suggestion and that is grand for making word document but a little slow and the resultant JPEG was blurry.

I am useless at figuring things out for myself or finding anything new on the computer but I am fairly good with instructions and as I said yours are very clear.
Thanks again,

Well you have Pic1and Pic2... practice!!

If you make a mess of it just close pics without saving changes!!

Well done Hallmark. I managed to do that. There is a drawback The files are pdf which won't open in paint. But it works if I use snipping tool and save as jpeg 1st. I have actual photocopy certs for most of my closest ancestors so I think I will just be cropping the one bit with the persons info and then saving as whatever register it came from as part of the file name. That will do me, except for a few I will do with paint.

Thanks again
