Dorset Family History Society's Monthly Meeting
« on: Saturday 06 May 17 21:08 BST (UK) »
Roger Guttridge will be giving an entertaining and informative talk entitled 'Curious and Surprising Dorset'

Roger returns with stories from his latest book of 35 tales from across the county that have captured his imagination across the years. The country clergyman who eloped with a parishioner’s wife! The spinster who kept her companion’s body for three years without reporting her death! The mysterious Bettiscombe Skull which has sat in a Dorset manor house for 250 years, and must never be removed on pain of death!

Roger has lived in Dorset since he was a boy and is a well known journalist and writer of several books on Dorset and it’s history, and on his own family history of smugglers and skulduggery!
