Hello Bolton,

I realize that it is just pictures you are seeking, but you are unlikely to get those until you have done more research on the vessel. You need to give more information to "help the helpers".

Are you sure that CAPTAIN DAN was built Norway and not Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada? It's an uncommon name for a vessel, so I wouldn't expect there to be more than one afloat concurrently.

What is CAPTAIN DAN's Official Number? Is it 55570?

What year was this voyage Liverpool ---> Pensacola?

Here are some bits to get you started:
 1)  1880 Mercantile Navy List listing for her
       ww.crewlist.org.uk/data/viewimages.php?regtype=MNL&year=1880&name=CAPTAIN%20DAN&page=206&imagesource=CLIP images

 2)   List of years of extant crew agreements (of which copies can be bought) at Maritime History Archive, Newfoundland, Canada. Crew lists give a wealth of information regarding daily life. Also, usually handwriting specimens.

 3) Crew list for 1874 is at The National Archives, Kew, England in file BT 99/1021.

 4) Her build details.
