Did Sarah survive to adulthood?  If so - have you looked for her on census entries and looked for a marriage for her?

The male Priestley death is on free bmd in the same qtr - just search under surname

Clearly the 1867 one did - but why do you think Sarah died?  MMN was Bussey but the only marriage in Auckland was in 1897 - John James Priestley and Mary Jane Bussey on same page

Sarah isn't on 1891 census with family (she could be living somewhere else!)

Henry Priestley and Margaret Bussey married 1867

Can you post full 1891 entry please as I cannot find Henry or Margaret

I found an 1871 entry where he is b Oldham 1837 and Margaret b Durham 1847 - no children

Then this death

Deaths June qtr 1877
PRIESTLEY    Henry    40    Auckland    10a   92

In 1888 Margaret married Thomas Metcalfe.

Included in 1891 census Margaret Ann Metcalfe 1888 Shildon and William Metcalfe 1890 Shildon

1881 she is a widow, so if Henry died 1877, who is the father of her children between 1877 and 1888?

Good question

Philip Sept qtr 1877 so he could be Henry's son as Henry died June qtr

James Dec 1879
Albert Dec 1881
Margaret March 1883
Sarah Jane - Sept 1884
Robert March 1886

EDIT - Philips baptism is on Family Search and shows Henry as his father.  Born 8 June christened 19 June 1877
