Truly Great full for the help. I guess spelling of names back in the years. I remember being told that my name was wrong on my birth certificate spelled by my Father because he had a few teddies before the Church Service. When my Wife, oldest Son Mark, his Wife Karen visit Glasgow and Campbelitown where would the best Government Office be for us to enter for Family History. Again Many Thanks

Hi John,

http://www.glasgowfamilyhistory.org.uk/Pages/Home.aspx

Have a browse on their site which has all the info. you will need.

It may be an idea to email them with what you are going to be researching as they have different departments & the protocol will be different from one to another depending on your criteria.

When we arrive in Campbelitown where is the best location that one can go to find Family that are at present living

I don't want to sound negative but have you researched & found that there may be family in Campbeltown as from what I've read the direct family seems to have moved to Lanarkshire?

That's not to say there are no relatives still there but I don't know if you've found that it's likely?

The Local Pub would be my guess  ;D
