If someone's military record showed his place of birth as Ross Castle, Kerry, where would one look for a baptismal record? He was born about 1770.

There is a baptism on Irish Genealoghy for Rosscastle in Killarney Parish but I don't see Ross Castle listed for Killarney, needs more investigation.
Two results for Killarney for Ross Castle perhaps it's a locality in Ross Island.

Thank you. I should have given his name; he is William Harrison.

There is a castle called Ross Castle on Ross Island just to the right of Goose Island.

Killarney RC records online start 1792
http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0675
Earliest are 1785, not to clear how to find those
https://www.johngrenham.com/records/rc_church.php?churchid=0675&parish=Killarney
But not early enough for your chap if he was RC.

Thank you.
I have no idea if he was Catholic, Presbyterian, Church of Ireland or whatever :)
However, when he married it was in a C of E  in Stoke Damerel, Plymouth, Devon, England in 1802.

Just a thought - as Ross Castle was a military barracks, possibly his father (name unknown) was stationed there.

Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.

Quite possible, looking on Irish Genealogy there was both COI and RC Harrison in Kerry but it's also possible his family wasn't from Kerry at all.
Ross Castle has an interesting history, nice place to have an ancestor born in.
