George Beach victim of the 1788 fire at Norton.
« on: Wednesday 10 May 17 22:46 BST (UK) »
I have been researching some of those who lost their houses in the 1788 fire at Norton. I have the full account of the fire and also a list of those who received compensation.
Among them is George Beach, who was a farmer in the affected area. He received a payment of £60. I believe he was born around 1730 and his parents were George Beach and Dorothy (possibly Sayer). There is some rather 'iffy' research on some ancestry trees so would be grateful for any dates (Baptism, Marriage, Burial etc) and places for other members of the family. Many thanks.

Thanks Shaun, I will try to visit, but my reader's card will need to be renewed. I have a map from 1785 with Bach's Farm as the heading, but on the map the house is labelled Beachs (Farm).
