Benjamin BRIGHTON, born 1834-1836, Middlesex
« on: Thursday 11 May 17 21:20 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Benjamin BRIGHTON appears in the 1841 Census HO107/737/9/24, p.42 but from this point onwards no further Census/BDM references (BRETTON/BRITTON considered, though unlikely possibilities).

Any suggestions please.

The 1841 image is in very poor condition - what other info do you have that the surname was definitely Brighton?

Benjamin BRISTON aged 16 b Westminster occ Cow Boy 1851 HO107/1480/291/1

The image for this one actually reads BRITON (despite the transcript), so it's a good possibility.

ADDED - especially as there is a likely candidate for his father next door!

In the above 1851 in Westminster, found by Keyboard86 (HO107/1480/291/1), the likely father William Brighton is a Costermonger, which matches the father's occupation as given in the Parkhurst record for Benjamin.
