The parish church at Langtons, Leics.
« on: Friday 12 May 17 16:38 BST (UK) »
Hi,
Can anyone help by letting me know where this church is? - I had an ancestor christened there
in 1710 but I cannot find this parish on the map.  Suppose that this may have been absorbed when local villages spread and is now known by a different name.  Locating this parish would be a great help.
Many thanks.

The Langtons are north of Market Harborough - still surrounded by farmland

Hi,
Many thanks for your help rosie99 & mgeneas.  I can see now that 'Tur Langton, Church Langton
Thorpe Langton & East Langton make up the district called ' Langtons'.  Can I just ask in which village  the church is - or do they all have individual churches? :-\

Findmypast has the register for 1710.

It is headed 'East and West Langton' and the abodes are given as East, West or Thorp Langton.

Presumably, they were all at Church Langton or combined into a single register?
