May I mention that the 1870s NSW BDM district of Bathurst was not just the municipality, but also surrounding localities.   You may need to seek out the marriage registration to confirm if the Margaret WOODS who married a James ROBINS is 'your' Margaret.

NSW BDM online index has the 1871 registration as #1644.  Official transcriptions will give you the same info as the real deal certificate.  NSW BDM online website notes that there can be missing details from that era, but I note that the NSW BDM's summary info will include the denomination, the clergy's name, witnesses, etc, all vital details to help locate the parish registers which will include the details the bride and the groom gave the clergyman about themselves and also about their respective parents.   Without Margaret's first hand info about her parents I am concerned that it may not be possible to advance your quest.

From the free to search NSW BDM online index for births

James, parents indexed as James and Margaret ROBBINS, a birth registered in the Bathurst District in 1872.  Reference # 6683.    Note the spelling of the surname is with 'BB'  :)

There is a probate packet for Margaret WOODS of Marion St Leichhardt at NSW state records - it doesn't show up in online index as there is a gap 1891-1927.   However here is probate notice http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article221603523

I can photograph this the next time I am there - should have death cert and will and details of heirs.   Maybe more clues.
