There is a Portuguese connection but only in that the Marriages/Baptisms took place there.
I would say that there may be Scottish in there somewhere with the 1836 Marriage.
Otherwise I would think they are all English.

  i love east india merchants..

Have a son in laws relative pop up in derbyshire late 1700s.  Appeared at his sons birth as john short of madras.

Cant find that guy anywhere  in india nor can i find background on his wife.
