Hi Alan...

Both deaths are on FreeBMD, only ones that come up for year countywide. Bernard is registered within area of Saffron Walden.

Probate for Bernard gives abode of Hillside Ashdon near Saffron Walden

https://probatesearch.service.gov.uk/Calendar/GetImgSrc?filePath=%2F1979%2FS%2F007977_stockham_1979.Png

Eva death registered in the Westminter Area, cannot locate Probate.

Thanks for your help Eva had a heart attack on one of the underground tube stations in the centre of London.
She was a live in housekeeper for Bernard after her husband died .She did not have any children so I was her only nephew.
I do have a photo of the headstone but it does not give any clues.
I can remember mum and dad going down to Saffron Walden for the funeral.
