Hi Guys...Sorry to be a bit of a Tech dunce 

Short Question:

Is an IPad as susceptible to malware as a comp, in that I mean getting hacked, nasty virus or any malware.

Just to add, when I say antiv, I do mean anti-

viruses, malware, trojan horses, worms, spyware and dozens of other hacks that can expose your private information or simply infect your data.

The iPad is far less susceptible than even a desktop mac as the ios operating system it uses  is a closed system (unless you jailbreak it).

Thank you Falkyrn, even though I may wish to 'jailbreak' now know not to. Seems an excellent system if treated with respect.

Used to a comp only, but now learning other tech outlets, if that is the right term

The "closed" system where every App operates in its own little world can be very frustrating at times but it is extremely secure. Probably the biggest danger to an iPad would come if Apple ever screw up one of their constant updates for the system. (as many found out going from ios 9 to ios 10  )

It says I am up to date iOS 9.3.5. When do I get to 10 if not released to me yet ?
