Sean Ross Abbey Roscrea - Records of mothers
« on: Tuesday 16 May 17 15:34 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone, I suspect my grandmother may have had a child at Sean Ross Abbey in the early 1930's. Does anybody know how I could follow up on this? Kind regards :)

Also just to note the activities in Sean Ross and other 'homes' are presently the subject of a Commission of Investigation.

hello. I just came across your post. I'm just wondering did you have any luck finding records. Trying to find similar info on my aunt from the fifties who died there. Any help would be great.

Gerard

Hi Gerard, Unfortunately I haven't been able to find anything more out about Sean Ross. It seems to be shrouded in mystery. Will certainly let you know if I ever uncover anything. Good luck in your search. Kind regards Hannah

Hi Hannah.

Thanks for your reply. I found out that records from Sean Ross Abbey have been sent to Tulsa in Waterford. I have sent an email to them requesting any files they have on my aunt. I will probably have to jump through hoops but at least I have started the process. This may be if some help to you.

Thanks

Gerard
