Hi

I am looking for a reuben oldfield who served in the great war, he was born in camberwell in the 1890s and had a younger brother leonard oldfield my grandfather and i know he survived it but cannot find anything on him please help

His WW1 record has survived and is available on Ancestry.  His wife is shown as Alice Lydia Goldwin married 17.8.1913 and he had a son Reuben Ernest b 12.11.1913

Reuben Oldfield bc.1890, d.Jun.1968 Sutton and his son Reuben Ernest b.12/11/1913 died Mar.1979 Sutton.

As far as I can see, Reuben was the youngest in his family and didn't have a brother Leonard??

He did, however, have a nephew Leonard Edwin Oldfield b.1905 who was the son of his brother Edwin Henry Oldfield.

Transferred to the Labour Corps in March 1917.  Served only in UK.  Discharged "no longer physically fit" due to a rupture on 17 Dec 1918.  Silver War Badge.
