Oh thats good - in a sense.  Have just switched from IE to Firefox and can't get things to open so thought it was my browser problem but possibly Ancestry problem.  Will wait a while before reverting to IE then.

Ancestry is always a problem for me! There is a wonderful site for free by the Mormon Church (no connection, I came across it). It is called Family Search and I have found some of my relatives there who were born in the 1850's

Welcome to Rootschat. FamilySearch is the first port of call for most of us on here. There are also quite a few other free sites.
