Alexander Dunbar appears on a crew ship Liverpool census for 1901 aged 58 and the 1911 census aged 69. He married a Margaret Dunbar (no relation) in 1869 in Birkenhead, Cheshire, and was away at sea for the 1871 and 1881 census.  ::)
