Ann Hampton WEEKS A 20 year Mystery

  One of the witnesses at the 1797 marriage....Benjamin (Weeks?) diff.to read.

A Benjamin Weeks marries Alice Potter 1794-witness George Weeks.

Gosh Jackie, I would never have thought that witness could be Benjamin Weeks.

Except for the W the signature is very similar to that of Benjamin Weeks who married in 1794.

So perhaps Ann's brother

So neither of you think she could be the illeg Daug of Jane?
That would make Benjamin and George her Uncles.
Although I cant find a Baptism or the second Benjamin, Father Benjamin.
(1st one born 1756/died 1758)

There is also this;

Image has a Benjamin Weeks as Witness.
Looks like same Signature again to me.
This may be their Father if he didn't die til 1808
Or in Anne Hampton Weeks case her Grandfather if my theory is correct.

Ann the illegitimate daughter of Jane Wicks baptized Dec 1775 at Little Cheverell looks very promising - thank you all.

I suppose her father was a Mr. Hampton - or she thought it was.
