I was offered a hint on Ancestry this morning.... another member had a matching person in their tree; however, they had her place of birth described as:

Risca, Wales (off the northern coast of Kent, England)  ::)

I've seen plenty of Trees like that.
Eg; born Halifax, Nova Scotia instead of Yorkshire.

I have that issue on my Ancestry tree. I have correct locations, I log out and back in again and some of my locations have flipped to the American place of the same name. If I'm working on anot her section of my tree it can take me a while to notice. It's very frustrating.

Agreed, there are loads where Ancestry adds another country (esp America) to somewhere in England or Wales where the country is missing, but this had 'Risca, Wales'. But it was the description of Wales being 'off the northern coast of Kent, England' that amused me.
