missing death record for a Daniel Dunbar

I am trying to locate the death record of Daniel Dunbar born 1873 in Birkenhead, parents: Alexander and Margaret Dunbar. Last seen on the Liverpool census for 1881. I have tried the GRO index and FreeBMD but no luck and he doesn't show up on the 1901 or 1911 census.

It looks as though he was admitted to Sing Sing prison 11 Feb 1898. (Record on A*try).

He had been living at 202 Hamilton Ave. in Brooklyn.

Father is Alexander Dunbar 12 Snowden St. Liverpool.

I don't see him after that.

Someone else can probably glean a little more info from the record.

Wonder if he would have been deported back to England after serving his sentence?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I sure don't see him.

He could have died in Sing Sing. :-\

Many thanks for the info. It's a big surprise, I don't know how you found him in America! I was convinced he died as a young child in Liverpool. It's definitely him as his father Alexander  did live in 12 Snowdon Street with his second wife. Looks like he emigrated to the States and fell on hard times and turned to crime, it's also quite possible he followed in his father's footsteps and became a merchant seaman and then jumped ship.
