 Can anyone help please? Trying to find the family who were living at this address in 1901.

73, Countess Street,Stockport,Cheshire.

Using the FindMyPast search, I can find 96 people living in Countess Street - but nobody at 73? :-\

Remember that the census was a snapshot of just a single night.
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

I think the highest number is 41 in 1901. Where did you find the 73 address as it may have been built later?

Piece 3294 has odd numbers 1-41 and even numbers 10-98 with some gaps. As Gadget says, it could be that the other houses were not yet built. The enumerators instructions include "Countess Street 1-41" (altered from 1-33) and, separately, "Countess Street".

If you are asking about Schedule 73, I would say the surname was BROOKS.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

I'm trying to help someone...it is possible that  No.73 had'nt been built in 1901...it was the address
given at a 1902 marriage.

Could it have been 13 with the 1 having a leading stroke?
